A resident of Liberia and occupant of Uganda was condemned to north of five years in jail Thursday in the wake of conceding that he partook in untamed life dealing that specialists say moved rhinoceros horns and elephant ivory definitely worth $3.4 million.

Moazu Kromah, 49, of Kampala, Uganda, was condemned in Manhattan government court to five years and 90 days in jail by Judge Gregory H. Woods.

Kromah has been held without bail since he was removed to the United States from Uganda in June 2019.

"Undoubtedly, Mr. Kromah's new decision was poor, however it seems to have been directed by the challenges of making money in his local nation and spurred substantially more by his craving to keep his family out of neediness than by any wanton realism."
