In this post I will provide you with some information about BitConnect, about their illegitimate business practices but also their potential as an investment, despite there being glaring risks. Furthermore, I would just like to say this post does NOT answer the question in the title, but provides SOME information for you to make an educated investment.

I was reading up on BitConnect thinking this is too good to be true, how is it possible? Well I don't know, so I decided to give it a try by putting in a small amount (210USD) into the BitConnect lending bot. You can follow my updates by following me or checking out the tag #bccseries.

BitConnect Philippines

BitConnect has recently announced their Philippines conference to be held on the 19th of October. Hopefully, this will shed much needed light on their business practices and their illusive trading bot. However, just the fact that they're holding a conference is a good sign for investors, proving that they're not just a bunch of shady people hiding behind a computer, ready to steal all of their investor's money at any second.
However, the team that will be appearing is their "top promoting team", thus likely being just another marketing ploy. Their team is said to be headed by a man named "Jonel Javellana", who has very limited online presence, the most I could find was a LinkedIn profile.

The Referral Program

This is probably one of the dodgiest part of their practices. Many argue that the only reason they are able to pay out such high interests is not due to a trading bot but simply due to the amount of capital they are being flooded with. Their referral system is literally the definition of a ponzi pyramid scheme which is a massive red flag to many investors (including myself).

My Verdict

Ponzi scheme or not, the truth is many have made money from this. This isn't to say that their business is legitimate as one day if their capital stops coming in and they start losing money, they could just disappear with the money they have left. But the truth it, no one can prove that they're a pyramid scheme until it all collapses, thus too late.

Investing in this is pretty much gambling, you're gambling on the hope that they're legit. If they are, you get a shit ton of literally free money. If they're not, then you lose your money. So invest with caution and like gambling, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
