Nearly 10 months ago I wrote an article regarding the BitConnect scam. It became #1 on Google and now sits at over 300,000 views. After that article's comment section and overwhelming amount of uninformed insulting comments and people promoting BCC and other scams right on that post, I stopped posting here altogether. Once the scam closed down a few days ago, I revisited this article out of curiosity. I was baffled by the amount of people still promoting such crap and falling for similar scams, after I just told them what to watch out for!
Let's see 3 examples of clueless or malicious comments:
Please, once and for all: if a crypto site is asking you for money for something else than buying a cryptocurrency and is offering guaranteed returns, no matter what they claim to be doing for those money, it's 99%+ likely that it's a scam! Not me or anybody can make a complete list of all the scams out there, but you can use your common sense! The next best thing is this website, which keeps a huge list of reviews for thousands of crypto sites:
It had BitConnect listed as a potential scam since 2016! Just 5 minutes of research can save you a ton of money!
Thanks for reading! In my next article, I will post Craig Grant's (one of the main promoters of the BitConnect scam which took advantage of his followers to get rich) 2 deleted videos from YouTube right after the scam closed down. The videos were so hated and downvoted that he deleted them in a matter of hours and put up 2 new videos, with likes/dislikes disabled and only approved comments (probably from his own accounts). He even went as far as to tell people to hold on to their BCC, because it will be back up to its old value ($400+, the coin is currently at $17 and dropping fast) in a matter of months and that this information was coming direclty from BitConnect! This is most clearly a lie that he wanted to quickly cover once he realized nobody was stupid enough to believe it, so he took them down.
