This is the only issue at stake right now. With CME Futures going live soon, the only way the institutions and the whales can make a strong FUD in BTC is by having an orchestrated 'attack' by selling off their BTC (stacks they have been accumulating) and releasing FUD/news about tether/Bitifinex. Yes, this me talking with a tinfoil hat on - however, everything is possible. All I can say is have your fiat ready just in case!
