in bitshares •  7 years ago  (edited)

Today marks the first 50% buyback & burn and 50% revenue share month for OBITS.

Buyback and Burn

  • 43,300 bitUSD
    • 102,035 OBITS (today + leftovers) Burned

2017-08-02 20_18_51-OpenLedger.png

Dividends on Blockchain

  • DoB: 43,300 bitUSD
    • 15,890,502.8091 total OBITS after burn

DoB 2nd of August

1 OBITS = 43300/15,890,502.8091 = 0.00272489804257 = 0.0027 bitUSD per OBITS

Hope my math checks out :D

That's a bit less than I anticipated.

Me too

Better little than nothing. Look at the bright side of life.

I'll try... :///

made .22 cents yesss

How many did you have?

i have 80 orbits

And I 88 cents YEAH!!!

Almost enought for one beer in a supermarket.

Soon no need to work anymore!

So the dividend will be paid based on the number of shares after buyback... when will be the snapshot of OBITS holders taken?

Interesting information

OMG! unbelievable. the lowest buyback in history of Obits.

this is because OL used to auction obits every month then profits from that were used to buy back/burn... now there are no more obits left to auction OL has less profits

It was $1.5 million in June. What happened?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

a lot in June, not so much in July.

02 July 2017 451 190 OBITS
02 June 2017 359 393 OBITS

Got it. It wasn't much but I bought more Obits.

Sorry that im write here...im new into bitshares and have created a online wallet. Since yesterday i cant trade, transfer or withdraw anything because i always getting this message:
Failed to broadcast the transaction: bitshares crypto digest...

you need some bitshares to cover for transaction fees... my guess.

Fees are not the problem...thanks for the link! :D

Changelly doesn't have Steem anymore :-(

Btw for the slow noobs here (like me) if you have 100 orbits what's the calculation for how much you could earn by holding it and is it always paid in the fiat backed tokens?

I really feel like if bitshares was slightly more simple you'd find more people investing in it.
:/

... Like why couldn't they just develop simplified specific systems and wallets that people could use to send and receive bitshares or open ledger and tokens and assets without the over complication of the rest of it.

They'd be eased into the system and then they'd not see it as such a leap to getting into the rest of it.

  • Why not target those who value Tether by making a system especially for those who want a way to easily store fiat-backed tokens?

  • How about bitshares wallets that seemed like it were a place you can store your Bitcoin, Eth, Dash etc but that were being converted to bitshares/open ledger backed versions?

  • You could have a Shapeshift-type system, ideal to incorporate into the simple coin wallets I just mentioned. Imagine a wallet which could store any coin on bitshares/open ledger but also let someone swap anything for anything else just like Shapeshift and Changelly cheaper and without any 3rd parties?

Would that not be HUGE? This would be the very FIRST thing I'd think would be obvious to make. I have so many ideas like this either I'm some kind of crypto super-creative or I'm really missing something.

Nice post. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I strongly advice people to only buy in to cryptos that have a solid background: A solid team, product, advisors, preferably VC investors, etc. Sell all cryptos that don't have this solid background. It's a waiste of money. I found this great website: https://www.coincheckup.com They seem to give this complete indepth analysis of all cryptocoins. For example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/OBITS#analysis For the OBITS Analysis.
