I was there and I listened intently to the presentation.
Ms Dirkes seems professional but the talk lacked enthusiasm. It seemed that she was doing a job.
Those in the audience were given no reason as to why they should use or build on the platform.
At the end she made it a point of saying that BitShares was just a little job for her and they she was involved in other Blockchain projects.
Sorry to say but I found the end result to be negative.

Sounds like they needed more intelligent beings in the audience or maybe just a better representation of what bitshares stands for. Just my opinion though.. :D
