BEOS Design Considerations

Interesting. I do have my reservations whether this approach will achieve the [lofty] goals your son Dan so often advocated over 4 years ago and since. That is what captured my passion and got me involved.

It is very clear to me that "jurisdictions" will not cease to use force to control and dominate, which they cannot do without information tied to real world identities. This attitude is exemplified by the recent revelation that the USA jurisdiction is funding efforts to break Monero and Zcash encryption.

On the other hand I do acknowledge the majority of mainstream oriented people believe their favorite jurisdiction will provide safety and security. Those who believe that have a false sense of trust IMO and those numbers are fading. However, it's highly unlikely they will cease to be the majority.

What is unknown and intriguing to me is that the influx of funds from mainstream sources may provide more resources to grow faster than jurisdictions can keep up with. It's not clear if those resources can be wielded by independent thinking entrepreneurs who are guided more out of principles that promote freedom than from personal gain. Your son Dan is a prefect example worth paying close attention to in that regard. His article on "Radical Transparency" gave me and others pause and concern of where his head is at and if it was a sign of departure from earlier principles, naivety or merely an idealistic goal for some distant future.

It will be interesting to see if this new approach will succeed in growing freedom or if it will do the opposite. This is all a complex experiment and we're the scientists as well as the Guinea pigs of our own creation.

Thank you Stan for your tireless efforts to evolving and improving the technology that holds great promise for humanity. Technology is a tool, and whether that tool will be used for good vs evil is determined by both the tool maker and more so those that use it.
