BitShares is a small town on global scale.

bitsharesimage_Fotor_Fotorb8069.md.jpg

According to bitshares.org
BitShares is a technology supported by next generation entrepreneurs, investors, and developers with a common interest in finding free market solutions by leveraging the power of globally decentralized consensus and decision making.

BitShares does for business what bitcoin did for money by utilizing distributed consensus technology to create companies that are inherently global, transparent, trustworthy, efficient and most importantly profitable.

Consensus technology has the power to do for economics what the internet did for information.

BitShares looks to extend the innovation of the blockchain to all industries that rely upon the internet to provide their services.

Way to go, @heiditravels... great video!!!

Check out my post about my token!! WANGCHANGE TOKEN

Nicely done heidi!

I like it better than Poloniex :D

Thanks so much Heidi for embarking on this undertaking. Great Job!

Out of curiosity, how did you decide on the name? One thing I'm trying to do is excise "crypto" from my vocabulary when I write and especially when I speak to newbies. I don't recall who I heard it from (but it was on the Friday morning mumble for sure), but replacing crypto with digital is think is a wise choice. Most people these days understand the basic difference between old tech and the new digital age. Within the last 10 years the world moved to "digital" TV, so digital is very familiar to mainstream audiences.

It may be too late to change the name you use for your videos, and you may have very good reasons for your choice. Regardless of the name, you did a marvelous job, and I look forward to more of your work. Thanks again!

I think this is a good thing , It might give a huge impact on the value bitcoin. Hopefully.

Unrelated, did you get your leg workout in today @heiditravels ??

lol

Yesterday I worked my shoulders... today is the day of the legs. ;) I'll be checking out your #crypto101 series!

There are several posts up and comments over the months here and there using that # -- or words. I did it for people so they can easily find it or related material.

Have a good day!!

I totally agree Heidi 😉!
Heidi it would be great if you could ask Bitshares and Dan, why did they stop collaborating, or what exactly happened; and also ask them about the security aspect of OpenLedger.
Are you also in Bitgates and Blockpay, also 2 Bitshares currency based projects, would be great if you made a little vid on them both. If ever you have time ✌!

Re: BlockPay

Oh, yeah already seen since one thanks. @kencode @heiditravels what I really would like to know is why Dan Larimer left Bitshares?
And, how high is the level of security from Bitshares?
Thank you

I can answer that for you. It is relatively simple actually. Dan Larimer was never intending on bitshares being his only project. Instead it was the intent to make many "Decentralized Autonomous Corporations" (DACs) that would offer various services which could then trade on the flagship DAC --the BitShares Defentralized Exchange (DEX).

Now bitshares has a very strong and capable community that is in many ways led by kencode and chris hering, and steem (and sbd) both trade on the DEX.

So if i were you (in fact if i were me...which luckily i am...) id be more interested in figuring out what his next DAC will be...cause it will trade on bitshares too ;)

Great info. Just cant quite get my around the concept Bitshares just yet.

I can understand that ;) check out the links I've provided at the bottom of the post, they go further into detail.

OK thanks for taking the time to get back to me. Will have a look

Hahaha.. just reading all the comments. This is good

Thanks for the information and good work @heiditravels.
Upvote and resteem!!

Thanks for the info, will have a look.

Hey @hiarski, did you see BitShares has a GIF contest!?! I hope you participate, there's 33,333 BTS to win! ;) I just thought you, of all people, ought to know. Namaste :)

Awesome video

Good post.thank [email protected]

I was planning to research all this more and do a post like this soon in my #Crypto101 series.

It is always nice seeing your work Heidi.

Interesting post. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. The biggest group of uneducated investors in mankind has to define the trustworthyness and price of a crypto. It's an interesting world we live in. Besides coinmarketcap.com there is: https://www.coincheckup.com. They seem to give this complete indepth analysis of all cryptocoins. Sorted by team, product, company, advisors, previous investors, etc. Check for example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Bitshares#analysis To see the: Bitshares Analysis
