BitShares Enters The Binance Dexathon!!! - $1 Million BNB Prize Pool

The Binance Coding Olympics isn't the first of its kind. Dexathons have been done plenty of times before, though it is a first for me. Not surprising, as I'm not a coder.

But With A Name Like Binance & For Such Earnings?

 
Winning teams may also have a career op with Binance itself (Not our BTS coders!)

Plus, University teams are encouraged to register for a guaranteed $10,000 grant.

What The Heck Is A Dexathon?

 

I had to ask that question myself and do a bit of research. Let's start with the term DEX. It's short for Decentralized Exchange.

 
If you didn't already know, that's what BitShares is.

A Dexathon (aka Hack-a-Thon) is a contest where teams of developers work and design their own DEX. Security is a big category (thus the name Hack-a-Thon) considering the Mt. Gox and Bitfinex fiascos.

We'll all have to wait until the submission deadline on June 30th. I imagine it'll take some time for Binance to review and judge all the entries.

Heads Up: Exciting Times Lie In The Near Distant Future!

 

Even should the BTS team fall short (which we know won't happen), this is great exposure. Not enough people realize the power of BitShares.

 
Not only are Decentralized Exchanges a bright spot for the future of Crypto, BitShares allows the creation of incredible projects.

Projects like WhaleShares & MilkBox are a couple examples of what the BeyondBitcoin community is doing.
