Well, with a big event like this and people from various blockchains coming together, the hope is that other currencies will get more investments. More people seriously investing into strong or potentially strong currencies will strengthen the good currencies overall while bringing the general spirit/morale in the blockchain meta-community up. At least that’s the practical purpose of events like this: to unite fledgling communities, set up counterbalances to keep currencies in check for any potentially harmful inflation and help diversify the cryptocurrency portfolios. At least that’s my hope in events such as this if we wish for cryptocurrencies to not take a nose dive.
In other news, crypto mining in China is about to be outlawed - cheap mining is going to be gone for a while.
