Crypto.fans BitShares Node Temporarily Inaccessible

in bitshares •  7 years ago  (edited)
TL;DR - Due to domain registrar issues, updates to new IP address for bitshares.crypto.fans will be delayed.

Since a while back I've managed a BitShares full node, free for anyone to access, and available in the BitShares GUI list of accessible nodes.

Scaling Up

The BitShares node was sharing resources with some other things on my primary server, such as the Gridcoinresearch.eu web server and database. The BitShares node took so many resources from everything that it was no longer possible to run it on a shared server, which leads me to scale up with a new server for running the BitShares node alone.

The new node is fully operational and synced.

Domain Registrar Issues

The problem today is that my domain registrar, register.fans, have operational problems. I've been unable to log in to the DNS manager since a week back when I was going to update the records.

The registrar is very slow in responses and took about two days to respond to me with a recommendation to move the domain to a new registrar due to their issues not going to be solved in the foreseeable future.

The move of the domain name is under way but is still taking some time. Due to some requirements, my current registrar needs to do some things for the move to go through, and they are still very slow in responses.

The domain name bitshares.crypto.fans will, due to this issue, not be updated to the new IP address until I gain access to the DNS manager on my new registrar. I will refresh the record as soon as I can.

Sorry for any possible inconvenience

A typo cost me 800 STEEM. Can you help me connect with user bitrrex on steemit? He claims that he will return funds to users making this mistake by typing bitrrex instead of bittrex. He has not been active much ans I tried few times to get the attention by sending memo message with small transfer (0.001SBD) but to no avail. The funds are still there in his wallet. Jyst need to get his attention. Please help

I don't understand how I could help you in this. I have nothing to do with transfers made between users on Steem.

Sorry to hear your issue with a typo on your transaction. But when going cryptocurrency it's vital to be accurate and double check every transaction your doing. With being your own bank comes the responsibility of not having someone telling you what to do or double check what you do.
