How to send steemdollars from bitshares.org to Steemit, fastest and cheapest way!

in bitshares •  7 years ago

I figured this out after two days of searching for answers, joining telegram groups and after i wrote a ticket. Then i realized that i might not be the only person who is trying to figure out, about how to send Steemdollars from the Bitshares.org platform.

You might think that was normally easy, just use openledger and that's it. But no my friends, there is some kind of maintenance, what stopped all transactions between Steemit and Bitshares threw openleder. And i just bought Steemdollars in Bitshares, i thought WTF i can't remove it??? I could not use openledger, but there was another option called Rudex??

Then i when to the rudex platform. https://staging.rudex.org/#/. And i could log in with my Bitshares login name and password. But there i had to sell my open Steemdollars, and then buy rudex steemdollars. I thought nah that is just to much left and right, i wanted to have something straight forward, easy and fast to use. My plan was not to buy this and then sell it again and then transfer to were ever and i saw no information about if Steemit accept Rudex.steemdollars. So i just thought fu ck it and wrote a ticket to the help desk of openledger, with the request to fix the transfer between Steemit and bitshares.

I thought Helloooo, the price is cheap now, i want to buy some steemdollars and there for i keep searching for ways to find a way lol. You know those sayings, were is a will, there's a way! And then i found it nice and easy in the Bitshares platform. But first thing first, if you don't know what Bitshares.org is, then aloud me to explain fast. It's a decentralized exchange platform with many other features. It's free to open a account here. https://wallet.bitshares.org And you can either fund your account with bitcoins, ethereum or any other supported coin in the Bitshares.org network. And those coins need to be sold for bitusd, or directly for Bitshares. Because for this configuration, it's needed to have BTS.

Ok after you have some BTS in your account, then you must click on the blue cross in the right upper corner. It will open a menu and then you need to click on Withdraw. It's pretty straight forward.

On the left of this picture, you see a white arrow next to blocktrades. That means the option should be on blocktrade.

Below that is another white arrow, in these you need to put it on BTS and place the amount you want to transfer.

On the right of that arrow, is a box were you can choose between different coins, and then chose for Steemdollars. After that click on Withdraw here and that will open the following screen.

In the box of withdraw adress, should be placed the name of your steemit account. And memo is not needed. When your done click on withdraw, and that will open the next screen.

bit4.jpg

This is just a confirmation screen and you only need to click on confirm and that's it. You can go to steemit and see the amount of Steemdollars on your account the next minute. And if am honest that i think this might be the fastest and cheapest way to send steemdollars from a exchange platform to Steemit. I could be wrong, i don't know because im not a expert, and i only share what i personally saw that it worked. You can check my wallet and see the transactions between blocktrades.

So to me, this is just another good feature of the Bitshares platform, and with the speed of the blockchain and the low fees, and the BitUSD what could be used to stack profit, and that it's anonymous. Makes Bitshares.org the number 1 platform on this moment, from my point of view of then. I did not completely checked everything out in Bitshares, but i played around with different features. Like lending is another good option, if you have enough bitshares, then you can lend BITUSD for free. Well i don't think we can do that anywhere, but this just one of the many good features of Bitshares. But this post was about sending Steemdollars to Steemit, what was/is a problem on the openledger network, but with blocktrades it's possible, to trade BTS and then send them in a bridge as Steemdollars to Steemit, and i hope i explained that good enough here in this post, and if you want to know more about the Bitshares platform, then please watch this video of introduction to Bitshares. Can you use Open Steem, does it work?

Yes, you can chose steempower, steemdollar or steem!

okay I’m gonna sit for this and follow your instruction! last week I was thinking about how to do it but I gave up before even starting 🤦🏻‍♀️

Take your time, and if have qeustions then you know were to find me :)

Bts, cryptobridge, open ledger, etc., are the example of decentralized exchange. The only downfall of those exchange, transaction fee is high plus a gateway fee.

Well on this moment i use it for BTS and Steemit only, and when i transfer from Bitshares to another exchange or adress, then i make sure that i only send profit, on this way a high transaction gateway fee is not a problem. Thanks for your comment!
