Welcome to the 24th Bitshares State of the Network (BSotN) report. I will be releasing this report weekly to look at the changes in the ecosystem and track longer term changes in a effort to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares platform.
Bitshares - State of the Network - 28th February 2017
The Bitshares State of the Network Reports seeks to combine raw data from a wide range of metrics and combine them into meaningful information to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares network.
Observation from this week
This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.
Alfred Garcia (Bitshares Core Dev) has been working on a number of functions and issues this week; my personal favorite is the addition of an api call that will allow for specific data for a user account based on an operation id. You can find his full update HERE
@svk (as part of his GUI worker proposal) has released a new release of the Bitshares Light Client (2.0.170224). This release contains some new features and bug fixes. Download the new version on Github HERE
@xeroc (via @chainsquad) has released the first public version of 'uptick' and pybitshares (both version 0.1.0). His work on these project is being funded by a recently approved Bitshares Worker proposal. Find out more on the latest release of 'uptick' Here and PyBitshares HERE
BlockPay have announced a partnership with DASH which you can read about in many articles; one if which can be found HERE

@kencode has released his weekly update filled with news from a number of projects that Bitshares-Munich are working on (BlockPay, C-IPFS, Bitshares Stealth, Smartcoins Wallet). His Update can be found HERE
Bitshares testnet STRESSTEST has been scheduled for the 15th of March 2017 at 3PM UTC. Xeroc has been leading the charge and has also developed a realtime stats page that we can keep an eye on the progress. Find out more about the test and find the resources HERE
@thirsty Entertainment are launching their ICO tommorrow (1st of March 2017). The Asset being offered is the Bitshares User Issued Asset 'Thirsty'. Find out more HERE
