Bitshares - State of the Network - 3rd July 2018
The Bitshares State of the Network Reports seeks to combine raw data from a wide range of metrics and combine them into meaningful information to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares network.
Observation from this week
This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.
Bitshares has taken the blocktivity poll position this week with a current activity showing 4.6 Million operations within a 24 hour period and a record set (earlier this week of 4.8 Million Operations in 24 hours). Currently the Bitshares MAINNET is processing 53.8 TPS and not even breaking a sweat! This accounts for 47.7% of all transactions being monitored by blocktivity and for comparison that is 10x more than Ethereum and more than 20x more than Bitcoin.

The Bitshares Web Wallet GUI has been updated this week to version 2.0.180629
@steemdrive has announced a Billboard campaign in Manchester this week with Steem, EOS and Bitshares being displayed as 'The Future of Blockchain's - source
The Market Making Strategy: Staggered Orders is now automated by DEXBot. Crypto Kong has released a good article describing the process and documenting their results over a 7 day period using staggered orders ever 5% of the Litecoin order book on the Bitshares network. With strategies like this it is possible to make money (and lose money) but outside of that it is great for the network by adding liquidity to the exchange. - source
@flamingirl has introduced her 7000 followers to Bitshares with the French translation of the Bitshares State of the Network report. She has also done other posts relating to Bitshares as she dives head first into the tech, such as an interview with Blocktivity creator @estefantt which you can find HERE
@stan and @officialfuzzy have done an interview with Crypto Connie from @bluerocktalk to talk about Bitshares, EOS and Steem and how they all fit together - source

Have you heard about the release of StellarX exchange that supposedly allows the trade of crypto, fiat, commodities, etc.? It seems to be doing one thing I was looking to BTS to do with some upcoming changes I'd heard about, namely allow a trade between altcoins without having to move in and out of BTC/ETH to do it.
I'm still long BTS and intend to be, but the DEX frontier is definitely expanding with some interesting new plays.
(You can see more about StellarX if you care to in this Medium article) from them.)
