Anything to please the almighty

People around the world believe so much in the power of almighty that they don't mind doing the unpredicted to please the Lord, but we Indians are a step forward in this. We don't shy away from killing people or even killing ourselves to secure ourselves a happier place in the heaven/ hell whatever it is.

Some of us believe that almighty resides in the temple and having a glimpse of the idol would clear all our sins. The rush at religious places during festive seasons would remind anyone of the funfair at a happening location. Devotees don't mind pushing, pulling be and even having verbal spats to get to see the idol as sooner as possible when all they need to do to find a connection with the almighty is to close their eyes and meditate.

Temples are just fancy buildings, God doesn't reside there. God resides in your heart. Do good and you'll definety have a safer place to be in after death ( if there is). It feels pathetic when you see people fight at temples because people go there to connect with God and to do that there has to be peace.

My mom told me about an incident that actually made me write this post. She once had been to temple where a man chewed on another devotees ear after a scuffle because he wanted to jump the queue and have a clearer view of the idol.
