Blockchain is known for its ability to scale, decentralize, secure, and tokenize modern enterprise of any kind. It could be personal data trading or financial payment, Blockchain can be used to power that effect timely.
One other area in which blockchain could be deployed is its use in creating smart contracts or values, which could change our workplaces. Today, I want to review a new blockchain project created to usher in what is called the "future of work".
The Blackbox Operating System (BBOS)
Blackbox OS is a new platform designed specifically to manage next-generation work, globally. According to the Whitepaper, it is configured with advanced operating systems for organizing modern businesses efficiently. With this, they are talking of organizations run on Smart Contracts, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Machine Learning, Cloud Services, etc. BBOS is meant to provide solutions in these aspects of enterprise.
Further, the system promises to revolutionize the work environment in areas like:
Governance
Reward
Identity or Value
Management
Security
To me, the project looks exciting, but can the team of developers deliver? Do they have the experience to handle such a project?
Founding Team, and Business Supporters
As seen on the BBOS website, the team includes 60plus PhD holders, former business executives, tech entrepreneurs, technologies, all with diverse background and expertise.
Team:
- Jason J Sosa- Founder & CEO
Jason is not just participating in his first big project. He was the Founder, CEO, & Head of Product at IMRSV (Acquired) from 2011-2015. He was also a business partner for Product & Innovation at Chameleon Collective, last year.
- Benjamin Stewart- Co-Founder/CTO
Benjamin is an experienced blockchain advisor, engineer, and evangelist who has been building 3rd-generation Web for 2plus years.
- Bob Goodman- Board Member
Bob is an highly experienced C-level executive with over 38 years spent in big tech companies like Texas Instruments, ShapeShift/Keepkey, etc.
- Tom Bowles- AI/Deep Learning (PhD)
Tom is also a capable hands with over 24 years stint in business management. He earned his PhD at Oxford and CERN.
There are other members of the team and advisors listed on the website too numerous to be mentioned here. While some are blockchain scientists, the rest are either business or marketing gurus.
Supporters:
The website also listed up to 10 business supporters who are partners on the project. Notable names are:
- Dracaena
- TUG
- SpinDance
- venture spring
- NOMOS LEGAL
This project and its founding team look formidable enough. Let's check their roadmap and token model before passing a verdict.
Roadmap
As stated by the CEO, Blackbox pre-sale will end on the 27th of Sept., 2018. A total of $10m is expected be raised through the pre-sale. The Public sale is bound to take off in Jan.2018, while the main Blackbox network will go live by February 2019.
Token Model
The BBOS token is the unit of exchange on the Blackbox platform. Participants will use it to create transactions both as active and passive works.
Ticker: BBOS
Token type: ERC20
ICO Token Price: 1 BBOS = 0.16 USD
Total Tokens: 1,000,000,000
Available for the token sale : 34.58%
Summary
From the foregoing, it can be concluded that blackbox is a trendsetting platform with great potentials. The key strengths of the project include:
Formidable Founding Team
Limited Competitors
Notable Business Contributors
Detailed Revenue Sharing Arrangement
Realistic Expectations + Well-defined timelines
On the other hand, weaknesses observed are:
- No attempt was made in the Blackbox White paper to compare it with similar other projects
In conclusion, I believe that Blackbox could be a huge success, if the developers can tidy up loose ends and deliver on promises.

Thank you for reading !
Questions regarding this innovative decentralized platform, Blackbox are welcomed from our esteemed readers.
Jason Sosa and his team possess the relevant experience required to move Blackbox to the next level. I hope Blackbox will achieve more success, it is one of the few projects in which I believe in, with continued support from the community, Blackbox expand and develop every day.

Seems the team has got what it takes ( 60+ PhDs, tech founders, former executives, and technologists with backgrounds from these organizations) to handle this project. can i just ask what do you think is the project biggest competitor?

As far as I know, Blackbox is designed around the human element with elect participation only and a focus on the unification of labor and capital as the cornerstone. Aragon, Colony, and DAOStack are slightly similar but the concept is entirely different as I have not seen another service or project that addresses the issues blackbox presents from their philosophical, economic, business, or technological perspective.

Is the MVP out now ?

The MVP is being tested internally, when the team is done identifying all the bugs then it would be released to the community so we can all try it out. Stayed tuned to any of the channels listed above so you can get to know once the MVP is released.

why is there’s no information on how much have been raised or how many tokens have been sold through the private sale on their website?

I also navigated through the pages, and found nothing regarding that info. It would attract more interested parties when they see such details like this, especially if the project has hit it softcap. Like me, I only joined some ICO’s back then, when I see they have raised enough money, because it gives me more confidence when we see that the project has raised enough money which would allow for continual development of their ideas. Hope they stick to this advice.

No need to worry as the team is in the process of making a progress bar to see these information on the website.

Blackbox, a very worthy candidate: an excellent and necessary idea, a professional team, well-known advisers, got great ratings on all independent venues. The project is really unusual and attractive for investors! I really like this project and I believe in its success in the future.

Blackbox is set to change the Future of Work, giving a new way to measure value by decentralizing work and making it better for everyone. But why such a big discount on presale? 50% is a lot. Will these tokens be locked? For what period of time?

Blackbox wants to reciprocate the support of their early adopters that's why we are giving 50% bonus on Pre-Sale. The tokens will be locked 30 days after TGE.

From an objective standpoint, Blackbox shows immense potential with its industry-disrupting idea, and one that should be taken seriously by anyone who considers themselves to be a serious blockchain investor.

Nice concept, but I can assure you that the dump would be massive after this token is listed on exchanges knowing the private sale investors got about 50% more. It’s not advisable to invest in such scheme. It seems the team isn’t so confident about their project that they are selling with so much bonus. 10% would have been fine but 50% is another story.

Yes I’m in support of this, I think the team needs to restructure the bonus, even locking the tokens 30days after the end of the TGE, doesn’t stop the private sale investors from dumping, just brace yourself for the dump, I’m planning to get it after has dumped on the exchanges.

Your experience is limited to current shenanigans of a manipulated market. You have no experience when it comes to investing and putting money into a solid project. Go chase the hype and shitcoins if you need a quick buck.

And if it does dump does that mean its a failed project? No that just means someone had a weak hand and wanted a quick buck. You ever see that dump that microsoft and Amazon did back during the tech bubble and .com bubble of the late 90's? Look where they are at today.

I've seen a lot of super legit projects that has 50% or more offering and they got listed and it was like nothing you are afraid of. It's not unusual for an ICO project to offer such good bonuses.

When I learned about Blackbox, I decided immediately that this is what we need, and having studied more details and deeper, I realized that was not mistaken. I would support blackbox and I will recommend it to everyone because they are building the blueprint to move us all forward, toward a better way to work and add value.
