#BlackCatBrigade Writing Contest!

Welcome to the first #BlackCatBrigade Writing Contest!

Each month will have a new theme/prompt to write about about.

This month’s theme/prompt is:
You are a cat. A black cat (all black). Homeless. Unwanted. Unloved. Shunned by society because of the color of your fur and stupid superstitions and old wives’ tales. This is the story of how you find a loving heart and a forever home.

Rules:
*Capitalization, punctuation, and an attempt at correct spelling are required.
*Entries must be at least 500 words. Any less and your entry will be disqualified.
**Do not use an excessive amount of filler words to meet the 500 word requirement.
*This particular prompt/theme must be written in 1st Person POV. You are the cat. These are your thoughts as a cat.
*You are not a magic cat. You have no special powers. You cannot speak to humans.
*Upvote this post.
*Entry must be submitted by July 31st.
*Entries may be submitted as either a post with the first tag being #blackcatbrigade and #blackcatbrigadewrites being the second tag, or as a comment on any one of the posts I make promoting this round of the contest. If you choose to make your own post using the tags, please post a comment with the link to your entry on one of the contest promotion posts.
