Lists as short as 3 and generally no more than 10 are the norms for listing the "top black people in crypto (or blockchain)" in mainstream news as well as black media in the last couple of years. These lists shortchange our diversity in the sector and do not reflect our growth. They don't even tell you who we really are or where we are.
We - Black folks in crypto - are tired of this game. We want off the "listing" news cycle that barely covers the diversity of black people in blockchain or cryptocurrency, and worse doesn't source us for our knowledge.
So, Black People & Cryptocurrency, known for its 9,600+ member Facebook group, has drafted the list to end all lists. It is a Google Document of more than 140+ (and counting) black people in this sector and includes more than 60 startup founders as well as numerous developers, educators, executives, attorneys, accountants, organizational heads, and more. It's a "hot" document which means we will continue to add to this one document more leaders in the space spanning from North America into the Caribbean and across Africa.
Here is the BPC Black on the Blockchain List.
So now that the listing is over, use us to connect for business development relations, our opinions on regulations - anywhere, our expertise in renewable energy or predatory lending solutions using blockchain, our answers to cross-border payments, our creativity in blockchain rooted gaming... because, after all, #SatoshiIsBlack too.
