First post on Steemit...pumped to start watching Black Mirror Season 4.
Really like the dystopian portrait it creates of extreme examples of what technology could evolve to in the future. It’s also a social commentary on the downsides of technology...for example, in one episode everyone has a “likes” rating similar to how you can like posts on Faebook, favorite things on Twitter/Instagram, and upvote on this site.
On Steemit for example I get it, people are getting paid to share their opinions which is why I joined the site - the more well thought out and clever your comment is, the more upvotes it gets, the more $$ you make. I’m interested to see how that dynamic works compared to say Twitter. That is the only other social media platform I use (and occasional posts on Facebook) because I get a lot of my news from Twitter, and I’m a big fan of sports so it’s a great way to see highlights, stats, etc.
One social media platform that’s not for me is Instagram...I just don’t think my life is that important that I have to post pictures of everything I do.
Well this post took a bit of a turn but I guess it’s a pretty solid jumping off point.
