Blessed by the law of God: I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. Psalm 119:7

Psalm 119 is a psalm dedicated to the praise of the law of the Lord, because through it the man is blessed and happy. But in front of this it is necessary to understand that the law of God is more than the decalogue or the ten commandments. The law in its entirety is impossible to fulfill, that is why the prophet Moses summarized the law in a simpler way: "The LORD commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the LORD our God" Deuteronomy 6:24.
Due to its length the Psalm 119 is the most important hymn dedicated to the law of the Lord, the true source of the wisdom of the nation of Israel. Like Moses, the Psalm 119 teaches us that the law of God begins with a well-predisposed heart, that is, the law begins with the spiritual gift of fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability). The fear of God perfects the law of Moses and is the spiritual path to Gnosis.
And the Psalm begins by identifying beatitude with the true happiness. Happy is the man who has a heart to understand the law of the Lord, the Psalm announces, because with beatitude comes the common sense that is so necessary to live well and solve problems.
This is why the Psalm begins with these beautiful words:
"Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart—
they do no wrong
but follow his ways" Psalm 119:1-3.
And the Psalm continues to express the importance of pleasing God with a good heart. The hardness of heart does not please God, and also does not lead the man on the correct path, so the Psalm continues:
"I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws.
I will obey your decrees;
do not utterly forsake me" Psalm 119:7-8.
