Retributions in the Bible: Those the LORD blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed. Psalm 37:22

Psalm 37 is a continuation of Psalm 1, the Psalm of the two paths, and its purpose is to teach man to persevere on the path of righteousness, because appearances, and especially the deceitfulness of riches, cause many to fail, and few manage to remain safe from sin and its consequences.
The Bible wisely teaches that no man, no matter how wise, is exempt from sinning; David an upright and God-fearing man sinned by marrying the beautiful Bathsheba, and Solomon, with his great wisdom, sinned by allowing idolatry from his numerous foreign wives. Because of his sin, David lost a son of Bathsheba, and Solomon received from a prophet the omen that his Kingdom would be divided in two. The Psalms, with their wisdom, seek the blessedness of man and warn about the dangers of life. Many times what is presented to the reason of man does not edify in the long term, but seduces in the immediate, and this is where errors appear.
This is why Psalm 37 is such an important Psalm, only those who live righteously please God, while those who sin are rejected by the creator. Men without the necessary wisdom expose themselves to the most destructive, the aggravating factor of ignorance; and this is what in modern society means that even with all the technological progress, no solution has been found to the constant global problems, such as overpopulation, poverty, and climate change.
And so with these words the Psalm begins, calling for trust in God and for a righteous life in order to live pleasing to God and to be blessed by divine laws:
"Trust the LORD, and do good things.
Live in the land, and practice being faithful.
Be happy with the LORD,
and he will give you the desires of your heart" Psalm 37:3-4.
And a part of Psalm 37 is intelligently dedicated to warning men about the rewards God bestows because of the paths man chooses:
"Those the LORD blesses will inherit the land,
but those he curses will be destroyed" Psalm 37:22.
Two are the ways of men and two are the retributions, teaches the Psalm, and men faced with this situation must make the most intelligent choice; inheriting the land is the happy and safe life, and this is God's desire for men.
