Are affected by gas and bloating just like myself, if you are this article might be of help.

Extra gas in the abdomen is quite common and can result in bloating which can lead to abdominal discomfort. In some cases bloating may become severe enough to cause distension and perceived swelling of the abdomen. In addition, the periodic release of smelly gas from the intestines can be quite embarrassing (if this has happened to you in the public, I'm sure you know embarrassing this can be).

There will always be a small amount of gas produced in the gut during normal digestion, however, the shape of the digestive tract is quite able to deal with that. With an increase in poor eating habits, lifestyle, there is always a chance that more gas will be produced in the gut and this cannot be easily dealt with. In brief gas and bloating is a function of what we eat, how we eat and when we eat them. One of the ways to reduce gas is to drink plenty of water during the day with a reduction in the amount of water we drink before going to bed. Also, we need to reduce eating of junk foods and other foods that aid in producing excess gas. Some of the foods high in producing gas are listed below:

Onions
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Apples
Oats
Milk
Fluffy Wheat
Broccoli
Corn
Potatoes
Pears
Soft Cheese

While we cannot totally eradicate these foods from our diets, it is advisable to reduced significantly the quantity that we eat and ensure we cook some of those that we can cook in order to reduce the gas in such foods like onions, potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli.

In addition to the above, we must develop good eating habits to prevent excessive gas and bloating. We must also avoid over-eating as this also leads to excessive gas and bloating. Please ensure you drink water regularly, make your juice yourself an alternative to buying already made in the supermarkets and as much as possible stay away from carbonated drinks and beverages. It is also advisable to keep a food chart which will be able to give you an idea of what is make you have extra gas. Ensure you also watch your food combinations as well and if the combinations are off this could cause fermentation rather than digestion.

Eat a lot of fibre foods to ensure that you are not constipated, if the contents of the intestines are not moving along fast enough this will give bacteria present in the intestines a chance to break food substances down and this can cause a large amount of gas.

Another thing that you should develop the habit is a three to five-day detox programme as this will serve to clean the intestines, in addition to eating more vegetables, vegetable salads, soups, fruits and vegetables. Make sure you eat on time, eating in small portions, eating the right combinations and getting some exercises will also help in reducing gas.

I would suggest that you do a three-to-five-day detox programme. This will serve to clean the intestines. In addition, eating more vegetable salads, soups, fruits and vegetables might be helpful. Also eating on time, eating in small portions, eating foods in the right combination, and also getting in some exercises or activities will help.

Good luck!
