Hello Everex Community,
Earlier this week, we had the enviable opportunity of meeting with the Policy Division of the European Commission for Start-ups and Innovation at the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology in Brussels.
The Policy team were exceptionally interested in our payments system, especially with regards to transparency in payment transfers to foreign aid programmes that the European Union executes among refugees, natural disaster victims, and victims of disease outbreaks.
Also discussed was the ability to help migrants within Europe who can transfer cash at significantly lower rates and faster speeds than current bank and payment solutions. The European Commission was very aware of these issues.
Finally, we discussed the upcoming European Union Regulations starting on January 1, 2018 when the EU will significantly relax payment regulations for Fintech start-ups. This will enable a significant entry of payment companies into a domain that has been traditionally reserved for bank monopolies. This is very encouraging news for Everex, because it will allow us to operate significantly easier in Europe, which obviously offers us the ability to transact in any currency globally without any restrictions.
Warm regards,
The Everex Team
