Beijing time On March 29th, at 21:16, the famous Korean exchange Bithumb was attacked. The hacker initiated 16 transfers before and after, and transferred 3,132,672 EOS (worth about 89.25 million yuan). The Bithumb exchange immediately changed the private key. At present, hackers have shifted the lottery money to the exchange, including EXMO: 662,600, Fire Coin: 263,605 EOS, Changelly: 182,300 EOS, KuCoin: 96,270 EOS, CoinSwitch: 38,725 EOS, and there are still a large number of EOSs that have not been transferred. Subsequent Bithumb issued a notice saying that it was initially judged that this was an accident involving insiders and that no external invasion had been discovered. Investigations are currently underway with the Korea Information Security Agency and the Cyber Police. At the same time, it is also working with major exchanges and foundations, and hopes to recover losses as much as possible.
