Solving Data Ownership with Skrumble Network Blockchain

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of speaking to a project on the East Coast of Canada which is quite an interesting blockchain project working towards a more secure communication network. Their goals for their public chain include unlimited, scalable and uniquely optimized routes for communication, to foster the thriving dApp ecosystems of Skrumble Network.

Skrumble, the team behind Skrumble Network, has been around since 2014 and has a team of over 45 members mainly based in Toronto, Canada. They started off in the SaaS market with their innovative communication technology and have now chosen to redirect the skillset and technical knowledge of the team to build this unique blockchain communication experience.

Skrumble Network is a public chain that makes it easier for humankind to contact and contract. Centered on creating the most secure connections for communication possible, Skrumble Network is empowering dApps to make free communication really free, private data really private, and unlimited contracts really unlimited. With no middle entity or centralized server host in between to censor, block or manipulate any data, Skrumble Network’s blockchain and dApps will be a catalyst for data privacy and help to truly democratize communication on a global scale.

It’s relatively easy nowadays to create an ERC20 token and call it a day, but Skrumble Network is taking it to the next level by producing their own secure public blockchain with 3 secure components.

  1. First, a Secure, Communication-Centric Blockchain: Most blockchains are built for secure and fast financial transaction, but have major limitations when it comes to data storage, connection speeds, and ultimately, accessibility for communication. Skrumble Network is working on a hybrid approach to build a blockchain that is uniquely optimized for communication connections. By using this hybrid methodology that is needed to blend it with a distributed and encrypted rich media stream for real-time communication. It carries the authentication part, the information to establish a peer-to-peer connection, as well as financial transaction ledger data. The main focus is to achieve consensus quickly, so the lag typically associated with blockchain transactions are not part of the user experience. The connections are private to the participants and of course, all the data stored is encrypted in a way only participants have the ability to decrypt it.

  2. Second, a Decentralized Communication Application: Skrumble Network is also building the first dApp on their blockchain, that can’t be blocked, ensures anonymity and focuses on privacy and data ownership. It includes features such as messaging, calling, video calling, secure wallet integrations and in-conversation payments, file transfers, even screenshot alerts, and much more.

  3. Last, an open source Communication Layer: Developers can easily add Skrumble Network’s secure communication layer to enable any application with rich media stream capabilities, and we are currently in the works with other amazing blockchain projects to see what we can help them accomplish in the near future.

And these 3 components are just part of the bigger picture. Overall, Skrumble Network wants everyone to feel comfortable enough to continue sharing their valuable personal data and truly speak freely without feeling concerned with intermediaries and unknown third parties having access to their private information.
