Community Manager Work

Hello everyone!

First of all, let me introduce myself: My name is Aleksandra, I have a linguist and intercultural relationships diploma. Now I am community manager in the KickCity company. KickCity is event platform where every user is rewarded for events promotion. Community is crucial for such companies. As well as, for all client-oriented companies.

The world is changing fast. Today is the main topic of all discussions is Bitcoin and how expensive it is. Blockchain is changing the world and the industry is exponentially growing. Thousands of new ICO campaigns are launched. That means the industry is extremely needed workers. Good workers, to be honest. And community manager is doing one of the most important works. Why?

Let'ss imagine a startup… This startup is doing pretty well: a product is working, more and more people are getting interested in this product and an inbox is full of thankful letters. The startup gets its audience and in the other words – community. Clients want to communicate to each other, also they need a person who they know and trust. A person, who get all these people together, entertain them, talk to them and make everyone sure that they have support. That is what community manager does.

A community manager role is a very important. As they say, ​it’s the work of future. More and more companies understand that and hire a person who manages a community. Community for a company is important because it shows loyalty to clients. What is more, community manager is a real person and clients have an opportunity to talk to manager rather than bot or soulless brand. Client can express their opinions, report about bugs or complaints. Community manager will always be there for you.

It is not just customer support. Community manager creates space for companionship. People meet each other, make new contacts and just have a good time offline. Community manager helps​ people to get together, solve their problems, listen to them and make their using product experience even better.

To be a good community manager you need to b a ​ philanthropist and open-minded​ person. You need to believe in the company you are working in. Also, you need to be talkative and like to chat =) because you have to work 24/7. What is more, community manager is a kind of person you do really need, but when you have him, you think that everything is happening just because of good luck. Community managers are like wizards: they do magic, but nobody should notice that.
