I have been reading and writing a lot about ICOs for a while now. But I found something about a startup which sells only GOT merchandise and is doing its ICO in the week. And trust me, people will actually invest in this stupid thing.
And all this in the name of money. I mean how greedy human beings can be.
These are the things that will lead of the downfall of ICOs at some point in future.
But, Upcoming times are great because people will begin to start differentiating between these scams to raise money and genuine products who have the potential to change the world.
During an event, Sam Altman of Y Combinator spoke more broadly about the ICO funding model, stating his belief that the overall market is "definitely a bubble right now" – yet went on to say that "there is something underlying them, which is why smart people are fascinated." This is going to be very true in long run. :)
Agreed, the ICO market is creating a stupid bubble for those wanting to get rich quick!
