RESUME VALIDATION:THE SPRINGROLE WAY

THE PROBLEM:

Resume falsification is an across the board problem in the recruitment industry. Employers of labour often get disappointed owing to dashed expectations labors of skills, education and work experience of their employees.

The least an employer of labour wants is that his employee despite presenting a sterling resume cannot deliver in practical terms. It is the nightmare of most recruiters, but truth be told, workers who cannot match in practical terms their paper qualifications is a nagging reality, the employer does not want such for it gives an unfair advantage to competitors for as they say bad hire strengthens the hand of competitors. But the reality is that people are ready to do anything they can to get ahead, how then do recruiters and employers of labour authentic the information in the profile of a prospective employees?

The present method of attestation/validation of candidate’s information is not fool-proof, it not only lends itself to forgery but it is tedious and time-consuming. Can a system be evolved that is transparent and trustworthy and less time consuming, yes it can?

The SOLUTION:

The goal of the SpringRole network is to develop a blockchain based attestation network where users can get their professional profiles attested to and a reward system to reward users with SPRING token as they interact with the network. The spring foundation is a two-part attestation-based platform. This process involves reputation crowdsourcing of a particular skill through endorsement and organizational verification and validation of professional details. Such things as employee reference check, University reference checks job boards and will be built into the protocol in a matter of a click as against the long hours it would have consumed if manual reference checks were adopted.

While the goal of the Spring network is to ensure a seamless interaction between the employer and the employee in terms of resume verification when it comes to hiring it must be admitted that the system is not totally fool proof because any system that requires trust which is central in this protocol more often than not lends itself to fraud and abuse but to mitigate this the system has some inbuilt mechanism which includes the fact that endorsements are not free, people pay to endorse others, more rewards go to those who have gained reputation by getting an endorsement from a wide range of users.
