Hello all! The name "School of Bits" is a play-on-words for "School of Fish", as this account will be creating content centered around the small investor's perspective of crypto-tokens. (A.K.A. Small Fish, like myself)
In a wide ocean of crypto-tokens lie behemoths, shadows in the dark that manipulate the currents of the free markets with their girth and weight. A simple wave of it's tail can push a high-volume market 30% positive or negative, and then swims away with a bigger bag than they came with. I'm talking about Whales, MM's (Market Makers), Big bag holders with high hopes and deep pockets.
And then there's us.
The small fish. The people who throw money in because we believe, because we see the change, because we're money hungry, because it drags us in and doesn't let go. We try our hardest to accrue information about every coin, ico, news release, rumor, market trend, and TA analysis we can hoping that it'll give us the upper edge. But it can be hard on your own. This crypto-community we're all in is growing by the day but it's disorganized, chaotic, and sometimes downright toddler-like. Small fish need to stick together. They need to communicate well. They need to collect at times and spread out in others. When small fish disagree, they discuss among all.
This isn't about buying and selling. This isn't about making money. This is about taking the bias of money out of information gathering. Communities have popped up all around the crypto-ocean, connecting fish(investors and crypto-enthusiasts) to a place of information and communication, but who's communicating? Big fish and small fish alike have an open floor, but nothing to differentiate themselves. Who knows if someone is FOMO or FUDing a coin based on their own holdings? Small fish just want the truth, they don't like being misled, and when they lose it hurts hard.
The School of Bits is dedicated to providing a place for the small fishes to get information not on market movement, calling buys/sells, or analyzing deep technical topics that are outside of a small fish's perspective, but rather on how to go about placing your orders, how to do good research and look at a potential investments, and exploring the vastly different use cases of the Blockchain.
As the sole writer I cannot tell you I'll be unbiased, but I will try my best to be objective and easy to understand. As a quick background I've been learning about cryptos for the past 4 years and hold a small bag of coins worth under 20k USD. You may think, "That's not a small fish!", but with respect to how many tokens I own I would argue I am. It's not about the fiat value of your bag, but what's actually in it. As far as verifying any of this info, you can message me and we can talk or you can trust that I am who I am because
I am Satoshi Nakamoto.
