Attackers exploited a smart contract function in PolyNetwork's bridge tool to mint billions of dollars worth of tokens.
The attackers were unable to sell most of the tokens due to a lack of liquidity, but they were able to exchange some for ETH.
This is the second time PolyNetwork has been hacked, highlighting the vulnerability of bridges in the crypto ecosystem.
Beware of crypto bridge hacks!!
