Bhutan is rapidly expanding its Bitcoin mining capacity in anticipation of the Bitcoin halving.

This halving will cut miner rewards in half, so Bhutan is aiming to mine more Bitcoins before that happens to offset the revenue loss.

By partnering with Bitdeer, Bhutan plans to triple its mining capacity to 600 megawatts by 2025.
