Geist Finance, a lending protocol on the Fantom network, is shutting down permanently due to losses from the Multichain exploit.

The exploit involved the theft of over $100 million from the Ethereum side of Multichain bridges.

The Multichain team confirmed that the hack was the result of a security breach, and that the CEO's sister was arrested for attempting to recover the stolen funds.
