Stacks, a layer 2 network built on Bitcoin, suffered a 9-hour outage due to a Bitcoin network issue and outdated miner software. This prevented users from processing transactions and affected the value of Stacks' token (STX).

The outage highlighted the need for upgrades, and Stacks' co-founder announced an upcoming update (Nakamoto) that will prevent similar issues in the future.

Nakamoto will improve Stacks' stability by ensuring smooth operation even during Bitcoin network hiccups.
