Crypto hackers successfully hacked McDonald's official Instagram account and used it to promote a fake cryptocurrency called "GRIMACE."

The hackers made off with $700,000 in stolen money through a rug pull scam.

McDonald's has since resolved the issue and apologized to its fans for the offensive language posted during the incident.
