Hackers reportedly broke into the blockchain of the well-known crypto game Axie Infinity using an elaborate phishing scheme involving fake LinkedIn jobs.
The hackers first compromised a senior engineer's computer and tricked him into clicking on a PDF containing a fake "official job offer" in order to take over part of the Ronin Sky Mavis blockchain node.
According to The Block, the hackers, identified by the U.S. government as the North Korean group Lazarus, targeted employees of developer Axie Infinity Sky Mavis.
