Mt. Gox has started an email verification process for users to confirm ownership of their Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash payment addresses.

This comes after reports of creditors receiving compensation in Japanese yen through PayPal, with repayments ongoing until 2024.

The release of a significant volume of Bitcoin, estimated to be between 142,000 and 200,000 BTC, has raised concerns and garnered attention within the crypto community.
