Google had been tracking Glupteba for months before taking this technical and legal action, explain Google's Royal Hansen and Halimah DeLaine Prado.
Due to botnet's sophisticated architecture, even if now Google is able to to block Glupteba's primary control, this may only be temporary.
According to Google's Shane Huntley and Luca Nagy, the botnet has been monitored by Google to be targeting victims around the world, including in the United States, India, Brazil, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia.
