It is a popular saying that “One day in the virtual currency market, one year in stock market”. In another word, one could make as much money in a day as other could earn in the stock market for a year. This may sound a little exaggerated. But in the virtual currency circle, anyone could tell that it is the truth. On the contrary, especially during the recent two years, the stock market is bearish since 2016. It is quite possible that money someone earned from the stock market for a year is much less than that earned from the virtual currency market in only half a day.
At the very beginning, the blockchain is known by the few people. After years of development, it has become popular among a small number of people (mainly those in the computer industry and or other related industries). More and more people get to know this trend as time goes on. The market will be truly mature, or saturated until most people get familiar with it. I think 2018 should be a crucial year for the overall blockchain market to outbreak to its fullest.
I have noticed that each virtual currency is up or down, but in the long run, the basic prices of most virtual currencies are rising. Let’s take bitcoin as an example. Believe it or not, it is raised from 8,000 in early 2017 to more than 20,000 RMB in September, 2017. After experiencing the great decrease to 17,000 RMB at the end of September, 2017. It continued to rise again and once reached 130,000 RMB. Now it is hovering around 100,000 RMB.
As I mentioned in my previous posts, many people or organizations are discouraged to buy the bitcoins due to its expensive transaction fees and extremely slow transaction speed. From my point of view, the bitcoin is not suitable for currency trading, though some national banks on our plane, claim that they support bitcoin for cash transactions, and even in some countries, people could easily get cash out of bitcoin from ATMs at the street.
In the blockchain market, a great variety of virtual currencies are released in 2017. It it a year like a lot of flowers blooming and a hundred schools of thought contend. It is kind of dazzling for those who just knew the blockchain area as various kinds of industries started to launch their own blockchain applications and virtual currency (tokens). Almost all of them emphasize that they are unique and innovative in the blockchain industry. But according to my research and observation, some of them are encouraging everyone to buy their own tokens by selling horse meat as beefsteak. It is crazy to see the speculation by some companies, especially those who have not even set up a formal application.
However, I have a complicated feeling for those who only focus on doing real things, but do not pay attention to promote their own team. Everyone likes the struggling team with practical work. But it is annoying that their attitude is too pragmatic, and sometimes inevitably too overconfident. It lacks a long-term publicity planning and marketing strategy for those who concentrate on doing things, but forget to promote themselves.
For investors, especially the majority of retail investors, they are more concerned about is the price changes of each token. Indeed, there is nothing more exciting and nothing deserved more attention than this. Although we all understand that there would be the highest peak that every token could reach, even bitcoin. And the real problem is that no one truly knows, what price exactly could be considered a real peak.
