BitShares growth, Poloniex - something went wrong. And some statistics +charts.

in blockchain •  8 years ago

This is the registration of new users on the BitShares exchange:
Very interesting statistics. Over the past month, almost 150,000 new users. It is an accident?

A little explanation (my opinion):

Bittrex is a decentralized exchange. When something central becomes decentralized - it gets better!

Have you read the posts about distrust of the Poloniex exchange? First turn off Steemit. Solving the technical problem. Oh sure. Then the refusal to transfer funds (bitcoins). What's next?

I think the active signups on the BitShares project show the emergence of a strong interest of people to the BitShares exchange. The difference between the decentralized exchange and the centralized one: The decentralized exchange can not be centralized. That's all.

Let's talk about the minuses (They are very important)!

  1. The ability to permanently lose your key.
  2. If you lost the password and the key - no one will restore it to you.
  3. After registration, write down the password and make a reserve wallet (in two ways)
  4. Put backup files and a key on a flash drive? Buy one more flash drive (cheap), purely for storing keys. Reserves should be at least 2-3. Thank God, flash drives are now cheap for 2 or 4 GB.

Think about it 10 times before registering an account.

Let's talk about the Advantages:

  • The stress test of the network showed the ability to conduct up to 8,000 operations per block (every 3 seconds), at peaks up to 64,000 operations per block. The only thing I want to note is that @xeroc conducted tests on non-weak servers, the list is in the second sheet of the link. Also, different test parameters are indicated - (Chapter 4.2 in document).
  • The ability to conduct a lot of operations in one transaction (the difference between Graphene and others blockchains)
  • The current network status is configured as follows:
  • Decentralization is certainly a plus. No third party controls your money. And also does not lobbying its interests (manipulation?).

I did not miss anything, I hope ? But I want to return to the charts, because there is a lot of interesting information!

Some statistics:

1) Execution of orders - growth in the last two months

2) Creation of limit orders and cancellation of limit orders - growth.

3) Transactions between accounts

4) This you already saw at the beginning of the post. New users.

These are the key points that I highlight. The words "something went wrong" - refers to Poloniex, tk. The exchange has become too unstable. By the way, many people noticed the disconnection of the chat there? Why?

Conclusion

Interest in BitShares has grown and continues to grow. Personally, I have long believed that the emergence of decentralized exchanges is not just a place to be, but a long time ago it's time to do it! For all the machinations, bankruptcies and manipulations got from the centralized exchanges.

Like this. Fast, tough and merciless.

Whether you need to register or not decide for yourself. Based on the information provided and based on the graphs.

HERO contest aims for $300/BTS in 18 months. Check out @stan. Even if they are only 10% successful and get to $30/BTS there will be fortunes made. BTS is truly the underdog of the crypto world right now. And yes, the DEX is awesome and I use it every day.

Thank you for your vote!
Poloniex created a number of problems because of which I lost part of the capital. I'm just a little bit angry right now and try to better understand BitShares

I was blind when I did not buy tokens for 1 cent!

get them today for 10 cents! still crazy cheap.

Agree. Bitshares has good momentum in the long run :-)

Yep yep!

Bitshare has coin has opportunities to invest and get big profit.

What coin? BTS? :)

Nice article about bts.💝

I think BitShares begin move! Question is - in what direction?

The withdrawal issues, and customer support problems were really bad at Poloniex, I think exchanges like Bittrex and Bitshares will be taking Polo's place in a short time.

People are sick of Poloniex.

Bittrex? Do you know how much comission in Bittrex on BTC withdraw? x10 more than in Poloniex
To the Hell that awesome prediction.
