As everyone is getting familiar with Blockchain, Bitcoin and Ethereum - World is advancing towards new breakthroughs and evolving into new forms to solve the problems faced by existing blockchain solutions and platforms.
We have been experiencing the high network fees (till few days back on Bitcoin), clogging of network when huge utility comes up(cryptokitties brought down whole Ethereum network) and wars about performant/low-fees/scalable solutions(BTC vs BCH) and these are the problems being worked on and solutions evolving daily.
Dfinity from String Labs is working on an innovative third generation network to solve many of today's problems with new kind of protocols, consensus algorithms and much more.
As they state - DFINITY aims to explore new territory and prove that the blockchain opportunity is far broader and deeper than anyone has hitherto realized, unlocking the opportunity with powerful new crypto.
