Shatner Defends Ethereum From Twitter Trolls

Apparently, William Shatner knows more about cryptocurrency than you might have thought. The iconic actor - most known for portraying Captain Kirk in the American space opera media franchise Star Trek - started off by giving a harmless “thumbs up” to Ethereum founder, Vitalik Buterin.

When Twitter user @decentrali pushed back against Shatner’s tweet, calling Buterin a “literal scammer,” Shatner suggested that the user create his own blockchain technology instead of criticizing Ethereum.


Shatner continued to impress the cryptocurrency community by listing ERC standards and explaining that Ethereum code was audited before accepted. Nice. I bet this has already caught the attention of at least a few Shatner fans that want to learn more about that weird crypto currency stuff. A thousand little steps can reach far places.
