How do the rates for this service compare to the fees exchanges charge for creating the market?

    There are no fees, the only thing you pay is gas. Meaning if you want to swap something for 200 DAI you will get 200 DAI you just have to pay whatever the gas cost; which is normally around or below 0.001 ETH. So in comparison you are paying nothing except for gas.
