Which are some of the most popular crypto debit cards?

The way in which this card works, consists of using the funds deposited by the user in SpectroCoin’s digital wallet to pay for the transactions made by the user. This virtual wallet accepts a wide variety of cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, among many others.

There are 2 types of cards, a physical one that costs 50 USD, and a card only for virtual use that costs 9 EUR. In the following image we can see some of the commissions that SpectroCoin charges based on the type of transaction the user makes:

While it is true that 50 USD may seem like a lot of money in some countries, the convenience of being able to use cryptocurrencies to easily pay for our daily purchases in stores can make it worthwhile. Each individual will have to decide if this is worth 50 USD or if on the contrary, that price is very high and unworthy of being paid.

Anyway, I'm sure that over time people will find methods to lower these costs even more and offer this service with even more affordable prices. The list of countries where this card can be used can be found here.

  • Wirex Visa card: unlike the SpectroCoin card, Wirex Visa does not charge its users for the physical card, but one negative aspect is that it is not available in the United States, which is probably the most important market in the world. It is available mainly in Europe.

An important feature of the Wirex Visa card is that it gives its users 0.5% of the amount of money from purchases made in stores and this is returned in Bitcoin to the user's own wallet. This means the commissions that are normally charged for the use of these cards are reduced by said 0.5%. Having these sorts of reductions is always good for us consumers.

Additionally, another advantage offered by Wirex for its users is having notifications to mobile devices to always be aware of the expenses and of all the transactions that are made through Wirex Visa.
