Hello April! A look back at the first quarter of the year, and a conspiracy about cooperations

Hello steemians!

mega corp.jpeg

So its April! The start of the second quarter of the year and today also happens to be Easter Sunday.
While people worldwide are celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus, we in the cryptosphere are hoping for a sort of resurrection on the prices of cryptos in general.

Looking at the market from January to March, I can't say I am not a bit amused, the prices of cryptos have fallen greatly, with BTC being the drunk Leader who led all other cryptos and still continues to lead them to a great unknown destination.

In this short 3 months, the feel of the crypto market is one I have never felt before. The entire system almost seems choked, like it needs some breathing space.

With there being all eyes on it , news carrying its every move, its no wonder this sort of feeling persists.

In this short 3 months, we have had news of exchanges being shut down, Mtgox large sell-offs, China and Asian ban on cryptos, and so many news.

Perhaps the biggest set of news is the fact that major cooperations and social media sites keep banning cryptos everywhere. The explanation given being that scam ICOs were rampant and needed to be caught before investors lost too much money.

That in itself was a very good explanation until I realized that ''we are banning cryptos because of scam ICOs'' and ''we are using scam ICOs as a cover to ban crypts'' were two totally different statements.

Le conspiracy theory

Ok so ill try to keep this short.

Before the rise of blockchain technology, before the mainstreaming of it in 2017, cooperations worldwide had been becoming increasingly powerful. Acquiring smaller companies in order to become large conglomerates, putting their hands into whatever they could think of.

With the inherent greedy nature that we humans exhibit, it was only a matter of time before these companies started operating outside of the law (of which they already do, albeit illegally and secretly).

While it may seem irrational, it has always been my fear that a company would grow too big, and having acquired all/ almost all its competitors, become a monopoly.

The tendency to become better, bigger, stronger would eventually force all to become one.

Or a bunch of ones, a bunch of less than 10 companies worldwide, controlling the activities and affairs of the world, and unlike governments, where we follow laid down rules stated and legally binding, cooperations would only seek to maximize profit, and bend the rules to its maximum capacities.

ALPHABET, the company in which google is part of has acquired assets ranging from phone making companies(android), to search engines, to AI technology (deep mind, and predictive search), to even medical, technological and entertainment companies.

Blockchain the disruptor

Blockchain technology disrupts and decentralizes all the consolidation that companies for years have been trying to build.
In response to the rise of a new disruptive technology, these companies whose success story came from the same internet that blockchain resides in, decided to destroy all cryptos have to stand for.

Watching a video from brock Pierce that ill link to in the bottom, life in itself is an ever-flowing wind of change. Back in the early 90s, no one knew what the internet was, and many tried to fight it.

If blockchain tech was to be destroyed, it should have been destroyed a long time ago.Not now, it is too late to fight it, it has had close to 10 years of existence and its spread is too far gone.

The only way to stop blockchain and cryptos right now is to destroy the internet.

It amazes me because we are in another era of transformation. It is said that history repeats itself, and with the emergence of crypto alternatives to popular services, this facebook saga, people are starting to move towards these popular alternatives.

Now, rather than spend your life on facebook or twitter, lets earn something on steemit, zappl doing the same thing, at a better privacy deal, with transparency as per the rules of blockchain technology.

Blockchain tech still has no idea the power it wields, except of cause maybe EOS.

We need influencers, we need the people to move over to cryptos and the investors will move with them.

So the things above were just from the top of my head, thinking about how we got to be here.

Cooperations fighting cryptos arent doing it for the good of anything other than their profits. Blockchain tech exposes all the secret deals, hidden alignments, and dirty deeds that companies do.

You made a every great point because, this fall of prices has put and still putting most of us in a critical state of not knowing what to do, with the hope that crypto is going rise someday. Anyways, I am very optimistic that crypto is going to rise very soon. Happy new month sir.

Wise one there @nmalove

It is said that history repeats itself...

History never repeats itself.
Men merely carry out actions that were done in past, and when they see the results of their actions that say history has repeated itself.

This won't be the first time that the powers that be, will attempt to kill a promising technology that's a threat to them.

Like all other times these attempts will fail. The mega corporations should spend their time investing in the blockchain.

It's more profitable to adapt to, than fight a new technology.

Although I know little about crypto but I feel and believe all crypto will rise again. I think we should not be discouraged. We should give it time

Most Ico funded projects today is just a replica of a project we already have with an ambition to be better than its predecessors. There are hundreds of coins which features are no different from the features of Bitcoin, Ethereum or any of the early altcoins. But there are so many Ico's coming up with the same sole purpose, same can also be said regarding the other coins. So we end up having a repeated replica of what we already have which creates diversions in the market and value depreciation.

Happy Easter. The blockchain is thriving quite healthily. It's too healthy to be stopped.
