The KYC registration process for Dether’s token sale will start on Monday, January 22, at 2:00pm Central European Time (CET) on https://token.dether.io/contribution
Prior to that, we want to make sure that contributors have some guidelines on how to complete the KYC registration process.
As a reminder, everyone wishing to participate in the Dether token sale must be registered on the whitelist. Over 18.000 of you have registered for the whitelist on Dether.io. Now, contributors must go through the KYC registration process to be able to participate in Dether’s token.
1/ Why have a KYC registration process?
Dether’s token sale will take place in 2 rounds. The first round will start on February 7, 2018 and will last 48 hours. In this round, only whitelisted contributors who completed the KYC registration will be able to contribute in Dether’s token sale, with a maximum of 5 ETH per contributor. The second round begins immediately after, in which non-whitelisted contributors (KYC registration is still required) will have 7 days to purchase the remaining tokens.
As a consequence, the KYC registration process will enable us to make sure that there is a real person behind each Ethereum address, and that one individual does not buy a large portion of the tokens to be sold. Furthermore, this approach also ensures full transparency regarding the project’s funds and contributors.
2/ How to complete KYC?
Prerequisite: ONLY those who have been whitelisted are able to do KYC. You have been whitelisted ONLY if you received email confirmation. If you have not yet done so, you can still register here: https://dether.io/crowdsale
Please find below the steps to follow:
Enter: your name, your date of birth, email address, your nationality, your country of residence, and your address.
You will have to enter your estimated contribution amount in ether (Minimum: 0.1 ETH, Maximum: 5 ETH)
Enter you Ethereum Address that you will use to participate in Dether’s token sale. (Make sure you can receive your DTH tokens on the Ethereum address that you provide, for example: MyEtherWallet Ethereum address. Your ETH address belongs only to you, meaning that you own the private key, and it is not an online crypto exchange address.)
Please carefully check your information.
Accepted identity documents: a passport is the best way.
If all the previous steps are successfully completed, then you will see the completion page on the KYC interface, specifying that you have uploaded your document.
Once we have reviewed your profile identity, you will receive an email shortly after to inform you about the status of your KYC registration.
