How can I know everything I need to know about Steem unless I do research?
That having been said...I started out by searching for "STEEM" on the somewhat notorious online Cryptocurrency news website www.Cointelegraph.com. And to this end I found an article by Andrey Shevchencko entitled "Former Steem devs believe CPU mining is the key to a fair launch for their ‘blockchain 3.0'" dated October 13, 2020. [USE THE LISTEN FEATURE BY CLICKING ON THE PLAY BUTTON IN THE ARTICLE'S AUDIO GRAPHIC IMAGE To Read & Listen]
The main theme(s) in this exposé was (1) "Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, had acquired Steemit, Inc. and the Steem blockchain with it -- or so he thought." (2) The Steem community's migration to Hive... (3) Then, "Andrew Levine — who described himself as the Steemit “designated non-engineer” executive..." went on to explain that "The consensus algorithm used by Steem, called Delegated Proof-of-Stake, entrusted block production to a set of just 20 validators or 'witnesses' selected by stakeholder vote. Such a small number led to politics dominating the environment in many instances. The validators can then become one more-or-less happy family — which seems to be what happened with EOS — or they can become bitter rivals, which is what happened with Steem." It is a lengthy read, but, informative no less.
So, if you want to learn a little something more about Steem you can just search online, or, visit Cointelegraph.com which I believe is run and operated by the Winklevoss twins who as I recall originally came up with the idea for the Facebook website.
Or, since Steemit and TRON are now integrated (you may read on the "steemitblog" to learn more about this update...) check on the price of TRON anytime by visiting https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tron/.
