A DECENTRALIZED CLOUD HANGING OVER GIANTS

in blockchain •  7 years ago  (edited)

How did humans become the masters of the Earth? The Israeli historian and best selling author Yuval Noah Harari’s answer to this question is simple, yet complex:

Because we can cooperate both flexibly and in very large numbers.

We don’t even need to know each other personally. We trust a doctor or a pilot with our lives. We drive cars every screw of which is tightened by different workers. We eat meals every ingredient of which is grown in different farms and fields, and sometimes in different countries, by different people.
We have built a civilization from nothing, brick by brick, by the cooperation of crowds. It’s been working like a charm. Like a machine, every individual part of which works together to pave the way for humanity to go forward and forward.
Human civilization in this regard is nothing but an end product of some sort of machine consisting of humans themselves!

ONLINE COOPERATION
Fortunately, this machine has proved itself as flexible as humans – no sooner was the Internet invented than the cooperation among people went online. First the Internet has democratized access to information, then the cloud has revolutionized business models, and finally blockchain has decentralized the system.
Think about it! This means any content creator on any platform will be able to interact with their audiences with the use of tokens! In the long term, we will no longer have to be an insignificant teeny-tiny cog in a vast machine run by ungrateful tech giants.

JOIN THE CROWD
This is where disruptive projects like Crowd Machine come in.

“The intent was to create a technology that democratized the application process.”
-Crowd Machine founder and CEO Craig Sproule.

Crowd Machine is a decentralized alternative to existing cloud computing services, and as its name indicates, it welcomes everyone to participate and benefit from the decentralized app economy, empowering everyone in the world to create amazing apps by using shared code pool. I mean, everyone - even people who do not know how to code.
Surprisingly, this is easier done than said.

Crowd Machine consists of three main components: A blockchain based decentralized app builder technology called the Crowd App Studio allows anyone to create blockchain agnostic apps without writing a line of code. The Studio has access to a GitHub like source repository called the Crowd Share where anyone can add source code and be compensated for its use every time the code is run on the network. And finally, a global decentralized app execution engine called the Crowd Computer is an advanced distributed peer-to-peer network to which anyone can allocate the spare capacity of their devices to run Crowd Machine decentralized apps and get paid in tokens.

Token sale, by the way, started on April 1st – for more information visit the official website.

The dominant blockchain of the future may not even exist yet. That’s why we had the foresight to create a platform that’s blockchain agnostic, so not only do we not have to compete with these companies, we’ll welcome whoever comes out on top into the winner’s circle with us.

DECENTRALIZED FUTURE

Future is far too important to be entrusted to a handful of giants. This huge responsibility should be distributed. We should stand shoulder to shoulder, just as we did in the past, albeit this time in a virtual world. Remember, large-scale flexible cooperation is the key to our survival. Unlike bees or ants that can cooperate in large numbers, we are also flexible enough to change the conventional systems and adapt to the new ones.
I could never imagine myself creating a DApp. Now, I don’t even need to understand the complexities of software engineering to tap into blockchain’s potential. All I need to do is download the source code from Crowd Share and that is it. Then I can deploy it to the Crowd Computer and sell it in the DApp marketplace on Crowd Machine. Or I can lend my computer’s spare capacity to run Crowd Machine DApps and begin to earn tokens. But above all, I can participate in the blockchain ecosystem and be proud of myself for lending support to the future's dominant blockchain.

I've read few posts about Crowd Machine and yours surely is one of the better ones out there.

Im not sure if I understood it right. Correct me please if Im wrong.
Crowd Machine will provide developers with some sort of "templates" that can help create decentralized apps on blockchain?

Potential to use this tool in the future looks very promissing.

Obviously UPVOTED ! :)

Cheers, Piotr

There's a reusable source code library called Crowd Share. It is open to every member and you can use snippets (so, not exactly templates, but could be called like that) from there while creating a DApp.
Besides, if you contribute by adding source code to this library, then you get paid for its use every time the code is run on the network. It seems win-win for everyone.

Thank you for your kind reply. I really appreciate.

I really found your post about Crowd Machine very informative and this project is still blowing my mind. I've read number of posts related to that crypto and Im just wondering how possibly would it affect job market. Wont be there thousands developers and programmers losing their jobs ?

Or is demand huge enough to provide jobs for all those people. What do you think?

Are you personally a programmer/developer ? And did you try by any chance their beta version? I tried to register myself here: s://www.crowdmachine.com/beta-program/

But this program is temporaty closed and in order to receive news about future beta programs I need to subscribe. The problem I faced is that each time whenever I try to do that their website is crashing with some errors being displayed.

You mind checking if you have similar problem?

Keep up with good content. Will be following you closely. Hope to read more interesting posts about blockchain technology projects :) or crypto in general.

Cheers,
Piotr

I just checked your profile and I noticed some strange language :) where're you from if you dont mind me askin?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Oh, that strange language is Turkish, and I am from Istanbul.
As for your other questions, first, I don’t think developers and programmers will lose their jobs because of Crowd Machine, if anything, thanks to Crowd Machine, more developers can contribute to the blockchain ecosystem. And, secondly, as far as I know, the public beta 1 will be released on April 28 – so, no error at all, just be patient.
On the other hand, I am not a developer, and I don’t think I am the right person to answer technical questions. That is why in my post I mostly focused on the philosophy behind the Crowd Machine community – the cooperation spirit as its name and logo suggest.
If you are interested in technical details, I am sure you can find the answers to your questions on FAQ page or you can ask them directly on Twitter and Facebook.
It is partly my fault - let me add those addresses under my post.

Hi there. Good morning and thank you for your kind reply

I hope I didnt upset you by calling your language "strange". Im sure Polish language look strange to many people too :)

My excitement about Crowd Machine is growing steadily for past few days. More I learn more I like this project. This is one of very few ICO's that seem to really serve some purpose.

ps.
Are you planning to write for @oryginalworks this weekend? If you do then I wish you good luck. You can always send me a link either to my email: [email protected] or write it in your comment/reply. I would love to read it and support you.

Have a great sunday :)

Cheers, Piotr

Also since it's not the first time we're engaging ... what would you say about following each other and trying to support each other too?
Perhaps you could drop me a short message at my email (previous post)
I would love to be able to keep in touch with you

Notification system here sucks. And lack of PM is disturbing

I just checked @originalworks contest results. Congratz! I know you're not even in top5 but still ....

I hope you dont mind my comment again, but I have some more questions related to Crowd Machine. I tried very hard to find answers and I read quite a number of posts related to this issue but I failed.

Most of all: what advantage Crowd Machine has over their direct competition (https://dadi.cloud)? DADI is already listed on coinmarketcap.com for quite some time (and available on KuCoin).
I dont know much about DADI. I just found out about this project few hours ago and I would like to hear your view.

You mind telling me how in your opinion CM can affect current market and existing platform?

Will ETH, Cardano, Neo, EOS, Lisk, iota, waves or qtum benefit or is Crowd Machine a threat to them? Hope you can share your view on this issue. I would appreciate a lot.

ps. Im super passionate about crypto and blockchain technology and it seem that we're both sharing this passion. I will be following you closely.
Please continue with great content. Steemit need people like you more than anything else (I mean solid content creators).

Cheers, Piotr

Thank you!
Yes, I am also passionate about crypto and blockchain technology, but unfortunately I am not well-equipped for answering your questions. I'll check out DADI.

Absolutely. Thx for replying :P)
