There is definitely room for disruption in the social media space. The amount of credit big organizations like Facebook and Youtube take from creators is unfathomable!

The value of the platform is created by the creator but the creator is dictated by the platform.

Basically, creators are paying the platform value in exchange for exposure. It works in some cases but for most. Its thief of good hard work.

The idea of centralized organizations tracking information and taking credit for everyone's hard work is beginning to look a little bit ridiculous.

Blockchain technology is re-engineering peoples mindsets, it opens up new ideas to how the value should be distributed. Why should they take all the credit? If the blockchain network can decentralize the platform then everyone can get their fair share, right?

I think one day we will look back and laugh at how backwards conventional social media was.

That brings me onto Youtube. I'm not going to lie, it's an amazing platform and brings millions of people together. It's made the world a better place and will always be recognized as an amazing platform.

The problem Youtube has is that it doesn't reward its creators. Creators get small revenue from Youtube overlaying annoying ads. This 100% benefits Youtube even more and ruins the user's experience. Recently Youtube let down its creators again with less revenue. These are not good signs for the gigantic organization and might be the start of a landslide for the platform.

The blockchain now offers new alternatives. Youtube now has big competition.

The way blockchain technology disrupts other industries is by cutting out the middle man. This is precisely what might happen with social media. With an open source blockchain network and power with the creator, conventional social media might begin to look a little prehistoric.

Platforms like Steemit do exactly that, they reward the creator with Cryptocurrency and don't ruin the platform with annoying ads. Technology is taking us places we never thought possible.

It's most likely just going to be a no brainer to upload to these sites in the future, you get your worth! Youtube just takes it and grows their organization. Platforms like Youtube will just be unnecessary. Say goodbye to the middle man!

Things are better when owned by the people. Blockchain technology really is the biggest game changer I had ever seen!

Facebook and instagram I believe will soon be forgotten. There are too many adds on them which make it annoying and they take your personal information and sell it to companys. They make money off of us. When will everybody come to steemit?!

on the other hand.. there a no adds on steemit at all. when steemit inflation drops, where should my voting power come from?

No adds, just good information. Be sure to check out my page! Leave a follow! Great post man. Can't wait till everybody comes to steemit.

nice page! started following you

your exactly right, we create good content and they repay us by selling our information so we get bombarded with crap content! 100% they will be gone soon

We are going to see a lot of changes. Utube and other major internet players will be left behind if they don't do their homework.

I agree on this post, everyone should have a fair share in what content they publish, lets keep this great community going!!

The next wave of internet stars will definitely come from alternative social media platforms - exciting times

You are absolutely right and i think decentralized blockchain technology will do much more than even the optimistic think it will - it will liberally revolutionize every single industry. Not this year, not in 10 years but within 30-40 years, Facebook/YouTube/Apple and even Google will become a thing of the past.

wow big predictions! i agree, it's really that profound

Could not end youtube

reasons?
