Dear steemers.
As you know Microsoft is acquiring GitHub.
And I have an idea. Would it be possible to set up Github-like project on top of the Steem blockchain ?
Steem has necessary functionality already e.g. posts, comments, upvotes etc.
Furthermore it has reward system, so the really important and interesting projects would be rewarded.
The most important thing - it will remains decentralized.
I haven't dag deeply in steem implementation yet but I have a feeling it is quite possible to achieve that.

Steem blockchain api plugin for gitlab might be all that's needed for this. Gitlab is already better than github.

https://github.com/gitlabhq/gitlabhq Probably just build a plugin that integrates the blockchain with gitlab. Then you can have a version control system, build pipeline, continuous integration, and continuous delivery all belonging to the blockchain.
