The Blockchain First Initiative and Why It Maters

in blockchain •  7 years ago  (edited)

It wasn't long after How To Save Earth was founded that blockchain technology started to show up on our radar as something that was a main key to the improvement of conditions all over the world. However at that time How To Save Earth was simply a volunteer run online media and news aggregator sharing everything we could find that had the potential to make our world a better place. One thing stood out in all the search activity; many good things ranging from products, initiatives, organizations and businesses etc. were not popular enough to have a meaningful impact or were actually only ideas, many in need of support and resources to get going. We asked Why? It turns out the general and simplistic answer is centralization of power and resources by those that would rather stay in control and "profit" from less than ideal conditions.

How did we come to such a conclusion? Well, it was also around this time that we naturally began to act as a networking hub behind the scenes connecting people with others who had synergistic intentions for improving conditions on our Earth. The common obstacle for most of these people in achieving their vision was simply lack of resources. You would think that a great idea and plan to make things better in our world would immediately receive resources to fulfill its mission. But in reality this only usually happens if centralized entities with power and resources can gain something from it.

I slowly but surely realized that none of what we were doing would have any meaningful effect if nothing changed for the better regarding centralization of power and resources. And that is where blockchain technology comes in.

The Birth of The Blockchain First Initiative

It was obvious that blockchain tech held great promise in being a primary prerequisite to solving the centralization problem but being such a huge issue it wasn't clear on how to make use of that realization, until I got in touch with Michael Taggart aka @michaelx. It was at that time I decided How To Save Earth was going to first focus a majority of its efforts on helping to establish and make blockchain tech known and used widely throughout the world. In no time I connected Michael to one of our best volunteers and top advisors, Eddy Taylor, who has extensive VIP connections and knowledge in the areas of geo politics and the financial industry. Michael soon introduced him to @Stan and the rest they say, is history. So far, behind the scenes, Eddy and How To Save Earth have played a major role in conceptualizing and bring the HERO and Quintric to life, along with other major projects currently in the works that can not be mentioned at this time.

So there is a brief account of how and why the How To Save Earth Blockchain First Initiative came to be. I look forward to sharing more of the success we have as our current and future projects come to fruition.
